We love Ecclesall Woods. Another great resource only a 10 minute drive away. It's a great place to explore and work the imagination. We have had games of hide and seek, we have been on bear hunts, we have found sticks and pine cones and mummy found everything she needed to make a homemade wreath! On this cold but bright Saturday morning we went to experience Christmas in Ecclesall Woods. They had a few craft activities set up in the woodland discovery centre which the wee man enjoyed. We then followed the clues of their Christmas trail where we found a hidden wooden reindeer in the woods. We managed to convince the wee man to extend our walk into the woods and he had fun playing with his Dad collecting sticks and jumping in the mud and as always exploring off the beaten track into the bush! We slowly made our way back to the café to get our surprise for completing the trail. Ecclesall Woods is always a great option to stretch the legs and get lots of fresh air.
