Finlaystone Country Estate

On Saturday the sun shone for us rather gloriously! We packed our picnic and off we went. Another newbie for us as I decided to check out Finlaystone Country Estate. At 4 pounds a head and 3 pounds for children over 3 I can advise that it really is worth every penny! An adventure playground spread throughout the woods with lots to discover. We found a train, a ship, a truck, a tram, slides, teepees and climbing frames.  We played at pirates, hunted for bears, played with sticks and found lots of pine cones. It was busy but there was space for everyone. We found a lovely spot in the sunshine for our picnic and when the wee man slept we went for a wonderful, colourful, sensory walk around the more formal gardens (more on that to come!). He woke ready for some ice cream and then did it all again!

    1. Thanks. I actually had a tough time with these pictures as I had problems with my lighting and some are rather dark because of how the sun was shining through the trees! I love the moments they capture though so that is enough for me :)

    1. He loved it! It really appealed to his adventurous spirit and because you had to discover all the different bits he never got bored and we could move to something new if one got too busy.
