This morning we headed to Finlaystone Country Estate or as I like to describe it the special park with the ship and bus. You do have to pay a small entry fee but it is very much worth it. We have been before and I knew that the wee man would love it. He has become something of a monkey these days. Nothing like a play park to show you how much they have grown as they start climbing and swinging all over the place like never before. I really admire his sheer determination when it comes to working out how he is going to get himself up, over, across or down. It is really a great adventure playground to not only spark the imagination, get him lots of fresh air and exercise but to negotiate, grow and learn and have bloody good fun doing it. We were pirates, we were train drivers, we drove a truck into the jungleWhen he is with his Daddy it's so nice to take a step back and watch the action and of course not feel guilty being distracted wanting to capture all the moments. You know you have won when he wakes up from his afternoon nap asking if we can go to the special park again...not tomorrow by the way...but now!
