Pushing the limits

I remember when I had to hold his hand. There was a clear distinction between what was meant for the big boys and the babies and toddlers. Suddenly he stretched and could do things on his own. Before I knew it he was running off and playing with his friends and my hand was not needed at all. I no longer had to worry about him being knocked over or getting in the way of the bigger boys. Now he is the bigger boy and I try to make sure he takes his time around the little ones. Before I know it our local park won't be good enough any more!

It's more than just his knew physical strength that you have to admire. More than his new ability to negotiate, think things through. He looks for ways to make things more difficult, more of a challenge. What it is is his determination to see things through to the end. I'm lucky as well if at any point he will admit to needing help. It's something I hope he takes from the play ground and applies to more aspects of life. I recently posted a photo and entitled it "Dreaming big" and I got the most amazing comment from a fellow blogger that all the photos of my wee man could be entitled that! You see it's what I see from him everyday and it means so much when others can see it too!

  6. What an amazing post, the pictures are fantastic. I think you're very brave to be standing that far back and taking the pictures, but then as you said he is becoming a big boy now! It feels like he is growing up so fast!
