Keeping it Local

It was tempting with the beautiful weather this Sunday to go somewhere special for a walk but well we didn't. Admittedly hubby and I were both kind of tired...the wee man was not. That is when it's great to be able to rely on local resources. When people think of Scotland in all it's glory it's not usually the City of Glasgow which comes to mind. Glasgow can be a tough city but in the end it's great for kids and you are never really that far from green space if that is what you are looking for. These days of course any green space is made even more amazing now that it is autumn with colours, leaves and sticks to find. We have two  amazing options which are really close to us, Kelvingrove park and the Botanic Gardens, both of which we managed to explore and plunder on sunny Sunday!

Why don't you go and check out what your local area has to offer? It's so simple and such an adventure to get out and about and get some fresh air! Oh and don't forget to wrap up warm!

  1. You know ... we go to Brooklyn all the time to see family, but have never been to the Brooklyn Botanical Garden. Such a shame. Now I'm gonna make a point of going. :-)

  2. Oh my, those lovely parks are not what spring to mind when I think of Glasgow! Having places like this close by makes all the difference to being able to get out for a little fresh air with the family. Your lad looks well wrapped up and making the most of his Autumn park fun. Thank you for sharing on Country Kids.

    1. Glasgow has lots of great parks which we like to take advantage of. We really appreciate having these two on our doorsteps. Our wee man just loves being out and about!

    1. Thanks! It is definitely fun exploring with my wee man! He spends ages just looking for leaves and sticks which he can throw into the fountain at our local park...fascinating for me to watch him!
