I have slowly built up the wee man's art supplies over the past few months. He has had these stencils for a while and though still not age appropriate according to the packaging we have got lots of fun out of them. It was my soft introduction into the whole arts and crafts world anyway and it was great to help the wee man with his words as each set is around a theme such as transport, animals and well dinosaurs which go roar by the way! Of course it was a great way to get him to use marker pens which he loved so much (trumps crayons big time) in a more "constructive" way! I love to see my wee man learning and being creative and using his imagination and having fun all at once. Before we knew it we invested in his own special chair and just recently he got his very own table. Now all I think I need to do is get him an apron.

Ahhhh, he looks so studious working on his stencil drawing. Bless him. x
ReplyDeleteIt's serious business :)
DeleteSo sweet! They love this kind of thing don't they? Mine still do. We are in to stamping things at the moment. I might also be slighty addicted and keep finding really nice stamps in Munich, with one with Big Ben on too, which is my favourite! :D
ReplyDeleteOh gosh he loves stamps too. Actually the markers he is using has stamps on the other side. He is a bit harsh using them though and REALLY stamps away! Your stamps sound uber cool and I'm now going to check that out!
DeleteI'd forgotten about stencils - thanks for the reminder. My little boy loves his apron - it makes this kind of thing more of an occasion!
ReplyDeleteYour very welcome. I must invest in an apron for him and me!
DeleteHe looks like he's really enjoyed them and seems really engrossed. We don't have stencils yet but it's a great idea. I will have to search amazon!
ReplyDeleteAmazon is actually where we got ours. Really good value for money I will say!
DeleteLove how much he is concentrating. Looks like he's having lots of fun. x x
