On the Farm

It's been a while since we have wanted to visit a farm with the wee man. With the Nonni here it seemed to be the perfect excuse. We spent the morning at Almond Valley Heritage Centre in Livingston. It's a great balance of attractions. There is a wide variety of animals to see big and small, and the wee man had his moments where he was willing to get close and others where he was happy at a safer distance. He tried to chase a chicken thinking it was like a pigeon but was awakened to the reality of what was actually going to happen when the chicken clucked back at him. He kept his distance after that. You can also jump on trampolines, on a nutty bouncer and play at the adventure playgrounds and drive your own tractor. It was great that we were one of the firsts there as most activities were relatively quiet. I can only imagine what it would be like in the height of summer. We never managed the train or tractor rides as it was a bit difficult to time it right. A great day out none the less and worth the frozen fingers and toes.

  1. It's such a lovely time to go to a farm with all the new animals. (Not the weather :)). He looks really fascinated. I'd love to take z but I've no idea where our closest one would be. Must google!
