This Land

I had an interesting conversation with a colleague at work questioning land rights and how much has been taken away from us, what people can actually call their own. I will admit I know nothing about land rights. Renting a flat with no garden means I don't own my own little plot of land. What I did know that now what is important to me is access and that is something I would be willing to fight for. Access to the space I think my wee man needs to grow, have fun and learn. Glasgow thankfully actually ticks that box. We don't have to go that far to enjoy the land and what it has to offer and it's for free and usually well cared for. We don't get to grow our own flowers but we see them growing wild in the fields. There are mountains and rivers and lochs and it's all on our doorstep. As Spring has done it's thing we have been able to watch it all change and grow. It's our backyard and I know that like me my wee man really appreciates it. This is our land.

While not pictures of a garden as such this post was inspired by Mammasaurus and her linky How does your garden grow?
