I've got a bug my hubby likes to say. Actually I'm just a bit tired of going to the same places, taking the same pictures and wanted to try something new. With the nonni here and the weather attempting to be nice, what better opportunity! We are not done yet either with the whole weekend to go!
Our first stop is Palacerigg Country Park. Chosen to see the rare animal breeds, with a tree top walk and play park included. We were not left disappointed. With free admission I'm not overly worried about the lack of variety of animals and my wee man was highly amused by the sheep and goats and bunnies that he did not need much more.
After a lunch and nap break at home our second destination was James Hamilton Heritage Park. Chosen for the water and stones. That is all you need really to keep my wee man occupied so as you can imagine it was a big hit. We also managed to walk all the way around the Loch getting lots of exercise and fresh air!
A big thanks to Coombemill and Country kids for giving me that bug to explore what our beautiful Scotland has to offer outdoors! Wrap up and get out whatever the weather. Thankfully this time we have sunshine.
I love it, my day is complete, Country Kids nagged in your mind and got you all out exploring! You have some lovely looking places close by, I have a feeling you might be visiting these ones again, they look amazing and all free to enter, what a bargain. It is so easy to get stuck in a rut and sometimes we really need to break out and try something new. We have just agreed to go somewhere new tomorrow, watch this space, it could be next week's Country Kids! Thanks for linking up, I love your day out exploring with your beautiful wee man.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely be heading back to both! Nothing further than a 30 minute drive so really no excuse! Today we ventured to another new place which was fantastic!!! Love Country kids x
