Worms and Snails that's what this little boy is made of

This weekend we took an impromptu trip to Italy for the long weekend. It's always great for the wee man to get to spend time with his Nonni. It was lovely and warm and we spent lots of time outside in the garden. The wee man was at long last introduced to bugs and creepy crawlies. I was very proud of how eager he was to touch and feel everything unlike his rather squemish mother! The only hard part was to convince him not to bring them home. Other than a few pokes to the snail neither animal was hurt during this experience :) I on the other hand unfortunately have to admit that quite a few ants were maybe sqooshed.

  1. Eek I don't think I would have been cut out raising a boy as I am not good with creepy crawlies! But excellent photos though! Although I say that, you should see Mads legs at the moment- they are covered in cuts and bruises as she is such a hyper, boisterous little thing! x

    1. I had to force myself with this one to be honest. The snail was ok but the worm was something else all together! I swear every time I change my wee man I find another bruise with no idea of where it came from!

  3. Ooo, I hate creep crawlies but with two little boys, I know they're going to feature heavily in my future. I spent a lot of summers in Italy when I was younger and spent a lot of time shuddering at the sight of all the lizards. Urgh. Thank goodness, you weren't made to keep them all as pets.

    1. I'm not a big fan of lizards either. I'm from Jamaica and we used to catch them and chop their tales off :( rather cruel I know!!!

  9. That made me lol! My littlest makes me throw snails over next door's wall but he'll love a worm (literally) to death if I let him! He's fascinated and fearless too - so good for you to not pass on your squeamishness. I'm with you :)

    1. It probably sounds a lot more glamorous than it is! We have not been since last summer so the nonni helped us out to get us there this year for a visit!
