An evening in the park

It's been one of those weeks with glorious evenings when I find myself thinking after tea how nice it would be to go for a walk now. Never mind that I'm envisioning the sea and a promenade! What a great way though for the wee man to burn off the last of his steam. Yet by the time we finish our tea it's nearly time for bath and bed and we just never seem organised enough to fit in a little walk. So the only thing to do was actually spend our whole evening in the park. We organised a "fancy" picnic. Packed some bubbles of the blowing variety. Then off we went.

  1. A great way to have dinner and get the walk in too. It's also lovely to see Father and Son having such fun together, thanks for sharing with Country Kids.

  10. What a lovely thing to do, we should do this more but you do get stuck in a routine without even thinking about it. I think I need to make a summer bucket list :0)

  12. Yummo - I want to come and picnic with you! Looks like you've been having fun - evenings are so much cooler than the day times at the moment, we've been leaving it till the evening to go out ourselves :)

  15. What absolutely beautiful photographs! I particularly like the photo of him sliding down daddy's legs, and holding onto the trunk of the tree to climb a branch.

I enjoy doing this too because I hate to waste Summer evenings; that's why we often head down to Barry Island and the omission of a picnic is deliberate as chips is necessary on the beach.

  17. You always take photos that both tell a story AND make me feel as if I am there, looking in through a window. Not posey but lifestyle shots that literally give you a glimpse into the reality.

Love it so so much. A real skill you've got and will be wonderful to look at for the wee man when he grows up :-)

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and through your camera lens he will see how beautiful you see him as. Such a gift to him.
He'll relive every moment you thought was photo worthy - which is all of them :-)

    xx
