Close ups

I have always loved taking pictures. You know the one stick someone in front of a building and go snap. Or beg people to stand a bit closer together and smile so you can take a picture. It was actually hubby who one day showed me that pictures could be a lot more than that. What about the different features of the building that you might want to capture? People don't have to stop what they are doing and stare at the camera (though sometimes that is nice) and they don't always have to be smiling. The best though was when he said why do I always just think of the bigger pictures, the landscapes and the scenery when the little small things can be so interesting. That is when I fell in love with people faces and macro photography.

Not that I am now an expert or anything but it is great to see the world a little bit differently these days. When hubby bought me a proper Dslr camera to go and really take some pictures I was the happiest girl ever. Seriously it was better than any diamond ring (we weren't married at the time). Now I have the best model ever to take pictures of that sometimes I forget to take pictures of anything else!

He has the best expressions ever and they make me smile, giggle and most times laugh hysterically. I love zooming the lens right in and trying my best to capture them.

It's no longer photographing what he is doing but trying to capture how he feels while he is doing it. He has got these big brown bright eyes that speak more than a 1000 words! Getting up close really tells you a lot about his cheeky personality.

Do you like taking pictures? Do you have a photo muse? How do you do photography?

    1. Thanks Mich! You keep taking those pictures of your two because I have seen some great ones. Don't worry about the camera you are using either sometimes it's more about how you try and take the picture.

    1. In answer to your questions, I love photography! Bob is obviously my muse and after giving the last question a lot of thought I have realised that I am a pick up and snap kind of girl. :o) x

  3. I'm not surprised he is your photo muse, he's so cute. And like you say, his eyes are so expressive. I love photographing different expressions too, it tells you so much more about a child's personality than the traditional cheesy grinat the camera. X

  5. Wonderful pictures of your very handsome young man.

I love photography. So much so that my six year old has grown up learning how to pose.
